The Start of 2012

Since I don't post very often and rarely post more than just photos I decided just to give an overview of the beginning of 2012!

JANUARY

We spent a lovely evening at the Symphony listening to YoYo Ma and eating french food.
And in January Susie and Robert got married!

FEBRUARY

On the 10th I took my APRN boards and passed. We went out to celebrate with friends and Adam and I both were so glad to be done with studying!

We had friends over for dinner while my mom was here to visit...good drinks and great fellowship.

Adam fixed a sinking spot in our concrete. We did it right this time with steel bars and LOTS of concrete.

That evening we went to Adam's concert and it was another winner!

Delicious Chicago style pizza...we found a new favorite that night!

Sunday we all got to watch a beautiful ballet in KC in the new Helzberg Hall.

Walks with Mom were a little chilly but really great:-)

Dinner out was our Valentines celebration...wonderful sushi and good conversation!
Adam's Valentines present was an automated soap dispenser...We have both really enjoyed using it!

MARCH

The end of February I headed to Roanoke to visit my best High School friend and her new baby.

Afterwards visited Aunt Linda and even had a chance to see her Kindergarten class. A bunch of darling little 5 year olds!
Then Adam and I met in Phili and spent the week with his parents and brother.  A great visit with family!

We saw exquisite flowers in the conservatory and listened to the organ play.

We visited the nearby Valley Forge visitor center and did some go-carting.

Sunday we went to the art museum and had a cold but lovely time in downtown Philadelphia.

A visit to the Museum of Science and Industry....really cool space stuff!

On the way home we stopped in New York and saw Adam's best High School friend. He took us out to a hip Mexican restaurant. We don't have this kind in KC!

We trekked up to the top of the empire state building and it was a good idea since there were not many people there but it was a bit colder that expected!

End of the month we were part of the Oak Hills talent show.....
....ate breakfast at Mamas......

...dinner at Melting pot.....

and a fun weekend with Becky and friends!

A trip to the winery......

and geocaching!

  2. Ruth, I haven't been on your blog for about 2.5 years. Jason and I have moved from Nashville to Sacramento to Dallas. I just got settled into our new house after nomading around the country and finally caught up with you. I started crying when I saw that you were married again. I prayed for you almost 3 years ago in this regard when you started dating Adam. Just so thankful for the Lord hearing and answering my prayer! Love you!

  3. It's funny. I spent part of 2010 and 2011 with Abby Ishihara in Sacramento, CA. For some reason we never discussed how you were doing. I'm sure she would have told me that you were married. :)
