New Things in Atlanta

We took Jorge to experience his first Chicago Pizza. There is a decent place right down the street from us and I think it was a hit! Jorge and Adam are helping each other get through one of the aerospace classes. Ironically he is from a town in Spain right down the street from where I studied in college. My Spanish is rusty though to say the least!
I had some time before starting work so I decided (with the help of a groupon) to organize and digitalize all of my photos (4x6 at least). It took days and as you can see overtook much of the apartment! There were over 2,000 when all was completed.

Here they are all organized and ready to go.....now just waiting for them to come back. I am a bit nervous that USPS will loose them but I guess that is why we have package tracking.
We visited the Varsity for the first time. The onion rings were pretty delicious but the food is so greasy it put me to sleep as soon as we got home! We pass by it walking to GA tech so it was at least worth a try:-)
The Atlanta History Center has free weekends through the end of June. They had some interesting exhibits and great short hiking trails. There was a reenactment of civil war times going on I wasn't a big fan of the guns but it was an impressive setup.
The Swan House was a gorgeous establishment from the 1920's. We couldn't take pictures of the inside but the outside had impressive grounds.
Of course there was an Asian themed garden! We thought is appropriate for me to get a photo with the elephant.
The Atlanta Preservation Society had a free week of all the Historic 'hotspots' in Atlanta. We took advantage of the one at the Margeret Mitchell house and this is us in front of the door used in the Gone with the Wind movie. We biked there in the rain!
