And then it was time for the rest of the crew to show up! We went almost immediately to a friends pool. We got a little time hanging out with their kids and the girls from Northern California were thrilled to find out you could swim in a pool without getting a bit cold. We maintained our 98-100 degrees for the next week as well! Go Kansas City weather!
We got to swim a bit with our friends
Caraline loved the water and loved giving us toothy smiles!
Adam's parents had sent us money to have dinner out - We ended up doing Oklahoma Joe's by the pool. It was a hit!
Chilling out poolside!
Olivia was really getting into swimming, we had to stop her sometimes to make sure she was still breathing. Abs is out more cautious girl but was working on her swimming skills as well.
Adam doing the water rocket in the back with the girls. It was another great event and C was mesmerized by the coke bottle shooting upward!
It was quite an ordeal to pick up Abigail's creation the next day!
The monkey piggy bank joined Abs list of creations!
We went shopping for a special dress for Olivia. She had been requesting an 'Aunt Ruth dress' which means one with frills and color so we went shopping. It was her first time to try on clothes and she had a clear idea of what we wanted as we ended up in 3 stores and once she decided on the dress she was set.
Went to have lunch with Uncle Adam and C loved the water and Olivia kept her jacket on her new dress even with the 100 degrees beating down on her!
Walks on Garmin's paths....
and then it was time for my 30th Birthday!
Champagne from Gail and cups from Lynn. We liked this picture except Olivia looks a little attached to the wine bottle. She has no idea what she is holding!
We went to get bubble tea and you would have thought these two had never seen a TV!
During the day on my birthday we spent hours in 'Monkey Business" which was an inflatable indoor jumpy house. The kids had a blast and just loved this huge bouncy playground
The adults didn't mind it too much either and we all had a little plastic burn at the end!
They even had a swinging bar for the monkeys/girls
That night Tricia from Church came and brought the game 'pretty Pretty Princess' She was an instant hit with her sweet personality and awesome braces. It was instant love with the babysitter and we were so blessed to have her so we could get out on the 'town', Olathe town that is!
First we went to eat Sushi - Adam did not know what he was getting himself into with 3 of the original Schroeder women!
lots of silliness....
....and good conversation. We went afterward for desert as we just weren't ready to head home!
Freezing in the air-condition
And Adam joining in on the silliness:-)
We ended up at Tricia's house again the next day while someone else came to look at the house. Still no offers on the place! The girls LOVED the puppy and LOVED being at Miss Tricias!
We went to see the movie 'Brave' in the morning. It was OK but a little scary for kids (as it was also a little scary for me!) and then a trip to the water park in the afternoon! What a day!
That night we all trekked to get Fro Yo at Peachwave for our last treat in KC. The kids were exhausted but loved the yogurt and Abs kept all her teeth this yogurt trip:-)
We were lucky to have Tricia come again and enjoy yogurt and the water park with us! Some closing photos in the car - What a great visit we had with the girls!!
Our new best friend!!
