At the end of July my Mom and our niece Abigail were able to come to Kansas City for a week for some special Aunt, Uncle and Nani (grandma) time before the rest of the crew came to visit for another week. We had a blast and just loved having special time with Abs!

| Manicured toes were a highlight of the trip and Adam even let us place a star on his toe but the real highlight was being able to spend hours together and lots of them at the water park! |
Abs was cuddly and fun during the visit and patient while I tried to do her hair!
Lunch at Garmin with Adam was a highlight and we cooled off in one of the many fountains.
Abs is our little artist so we ventured to the local ceramic shop and she picked out a creation to make her own.
She settled on a monkey piggy bank.
Mom and I did not paint anything but we wore the aprons anyways!
Another exciting day was Old Settlers day at the nearby Mahaffie Farmstead. We took a picnic lunch and saw the sight of how they used to farm without the machines that we have now.
Lots of horse petting and a tour in the old homestead home....
Even a real carriage ride!
I think pumping the water was Abigail's favorite!
Although she did like playing cowboys and robbers:-)
We went to dinner and a dinosaur exhibit to celebrate my Mom's birthday - This was our outing celebration.
Abs was a regular little lady at dinner and had a gigantic Sprite!
She was a trooper walking around to see all of the fountains!
We were trying to sell our house while Abs was visiting so our quick escape excuse was Peach Wave where we ate a TON of yogurt. Abs even lost a tooth on one of the gummy worms, we had to keep Uncle Adam from passing out!
Water fights in the backyard were in order as it was over 100 degrees almost everyday~Abs loved to say "I'm ROASTING" here!
Adam met us for lunch at the local children's museum...
Lots to do inside and outside. We got Abs a dress when she first got here - As you might be able to tell in some of the pictures, it was one that she liked.
Face painting and water play.......
....Mom put 'diapers' on all the baby dolls in the medical center so they would be 'clothed'....
Abs was a great Vet taking care of all the sick dogs.....
...and then a little animal time herself! She found some friends and Mom and I were able to have a great chat and just be goofy for the afternoon!

More birthday fun with Mom at home....
and skyping with Jeremy since he shares the same birthday!
Craft time at Kaleidoscope and picking out Abs a shirt from KC....
Last but not least more ice cream and very frozen gummy bears that were hard to chew once they had been in the ice cream. What a great time we had with our oldest niece Abigail!!
